No. 10059 This ceremonial Jordanian-Circassian dagger dates back to the 1950s-60s. The metal covering the scabbard and hilt is not silver, but some sort of alloy with a slightly yellow tint. The orange stones embedded in the scabbard and hilt are carnelians. Blade has been preserved in cosmolene and steel is in excellent shape. This is not a genuine antique but vintage, acquired by the owner in Jordan and a fine collector’s piece.

No. 10058 Nepalese Ghruka kukri with leather sheath and the usual two small hunting blades that are always part of the genuine kukri ensamble. This is a wooden-handled working knife – not some ceremonial or tourist blade – made by an Indian army contractor and issued to all Ghurka troops that fought for the British during the Raj. The black leather sheath has some tears where the blade was carelessly inserted. Blade has been preserved in cosmolene and steel is excellent.
