Russian Order of St George presentation dirk “For Gallantry” issued during the late period of Czar Nicholas 2 Reign. The golden side-arms “For Gallantry” were presented to the Russian Army officers for exceptional combat achievements and regarded as the highest award for military merit. The dagger shows the badge of the Order of St George at the bottom side of the handle grip just above the cross bar.Inscription “For Gallantry” is etched on the both sides of the cross bar. Czar Nicholas 2 monogram decorates the top of the handle grip. Classic Russian military style ornaments are decorating both sides of double etched blade. The sheath is made of leather and the gilded suspensions show beautiful thistle designs.

Russian Naval Dirk of Czar Alexander 1 period in sheath. The dirk sheath is decorated with Alexander 1 monogram and Russian Naval designs. Maker’s marking “Tula” and year of manufacture “1821” are engraved on the edge of the blade, which shows several ageing spots but preserves good condition throughout. The “Tula” factory was the most successful manufacturer of the Russian side arms at the time. Total length of the dirk is 57 cm, the length of the blade – 44 cm, total length in sheath – 61 cm.

THIS IS A RARE IMPERIAL RUSSIAN AWARD PARADE DAGGER DIRK,ISSUED BY ALEXANDER III OF RUSSIA c1891. IT WAS AWARDED TO COLONEL PERVANOV IN 1891 FOR GALLANTRY TOGETHER WITH AN ORDER OF St ANNA.. THE DAGGER IS MADE BY THE FAMOUS IMPERIAL COURT'S MASTER & SUPPLIER P.FOKIN, AND IT IS SIGNED WITH HIS HALL MARK "?.????? ???" (P.FOKIN,S.P.B.,WHICH IS THE ABBV OF St PETERSBURG).FOKIN PRODUCED ONLY HIGH GRADE PARADE EADGED WEAPON FOR THE IMPERIAL COURT. THIS DAGGER IS WITH STEEL SHARP BLADE,ENGRAVED WITH THE PERSONAL MONOGRAM OF HIS MAJESTY ALEXANDER III WITH CROWN. THE HANDLE IS MADE OF BRASS,AND ON THE POMMEL IS THE ALEXANDER III MONOGRAM ,AND THE IMPERIAL DOUBLE HEADED EAGLE ON THE OTHER SIDE. THE CROSSGUARD IS SIGNED IN RUSSIAN "ZA HRABROST" (FOR GALLANTRY). THE SABBARD IS COVERED WITH LEATHER WITH BRASS ENDS. THE DAGGER IS 17inches(43cm) FROM END TO END. THE BLADE IS 12inches.
